Chef de produit - Concepteur système solaire à Madagascar h/f

Social enterprise HERi Madagascar establishes solar-powered kiosks that provide electrical products and services to remote BoP communities. HERi is seeking to recruit a Product and System Manager.
Mission :
The Product and Systems Manager enforces the strategy of HERi towards its providers, and develop the portfolio of products retailed and systems designed by HERi Madagascar, through its different retail channels (own kiosks network, turnkey and integrated kiosks networks, direct retail network for selling and installation markets).
The Solar Product and Systems Manager reports to HERi Madagascar’s Chief of Innovation Department, part of the Marketing Team :
Main tasks :
Product manager
• Study the needs of HERi’s targets with the Field and Marketing teams
• Define the product strategy (ranges of products, products criteria for each range of products, criteria for the providers ‘selection)
• Search for innovative products and providers according to the strategy
• Elaborate the business cases for the retail of each product
• Test and implement products in the different retailing channels of HERi Madagascar
• Negotiate conditions with the providers (warrantees, prices, payments)
• Elaborate the portfolio of products of HERi Madagascar
• Structure the launch of products with the Marketing team

Technical conception
• Study the opportunities to develop other renewable energies systems than solar in Madagascar (wind, biogas, biofuel, hydroelectric, solar and mixed)
• Design specific systems according to the needs of businesses and private individuals

Requirements :
Master degree in Management, Engineering or equivalent
Perfectly fluent in French (written and spoken), fluent in English, knowledge of Malagasy is an asset.
Creative, dynamic, well organized, able to work in a multicultural team (relations with Logistics, Technics, Marketing and Field teams)
Ability to negotiate.
Experience in working with Base of the Pyramid (BoP) customers
Work experience in Africa, preferably in Madagascar
Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
Experience in the private sector mandatory, experience in renewable energies is an asset

Conditions :
1 year contract (renewable), Position based in Antananarivo
